I have been using the Buprenorphine Transdermal System patches for over 3 years and I absolutely LOVE THEM for Chronic Pain Management

That sounds like a really great idea!!! I wish they would have had this when I was coming off my drugs 15 years ago. I stayed on the pain pills longer because I was so afraid of withdrawal, but in the end, I did do it cold turkey, and it was HELL!!!! and by the time Suboxen came out a patient had to pay, I think $300 to get started and there were only 5-10 Dr's in MN who could prescribe it and it took forever to get an appt with one of them. I helped a few people get started on it, and the withdrawal process was so easy for them compared to my withdrawal!! Like I said if they would of had this medication out there for addicts that was so easy accessible I know I would have gotten clean way earlier then I did. I am so glad addicts no longer have to go that route to get clean. I think this pilot should continue and be put in other areas of MN. There are so many people who can benefit from this.
