Four Haunted Alameda Events To Get You In The Mood For Halloween
2021-09-08
Alameda loves Halloween! Many island residents prepare for the holiday by developing elaborate and decorative house displays to convey their enthusiasm every year. While 2020's celebration was subdued due to the pandemic, there are several events this year to help everyone get into a spooky mood, including:
The Menagerie's Haunted Halloween Market
A Bewitching Fete
Mockingbird Lane — A Halloween Market
Alameda Recreation and Park's Haunted House
The Menagerie's Haunted Halloween Market, September 18th
Organizers say that the Menagerie was created in 2018 by local Alameda artists to provide a safe environment for artists, vendors, and collectors to come together for all things odd. Spooky artists present handmade wares and ghoulish collectibles, including home décor, fashion, fine art and photography, dolls, taxidermy, jewelry, tarot readings, and more.
The Menagerie is an outdoor event at the al-Fresco Dining Park and Webster Parklets between Taylor and Haight Streets on the West End of Alameda. The event happens on September 18th, 2021, from 11 am to 7 pm. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
Besides vendors, you can enjoy:
Adult beverages by the Fireside Lounge
Food truck by Satay by the Bay
Music by DJs Miz Margo, Sid Presley, Fledermaus, and Zlaya presented by A-Town Events
Additional food options from restaurants along Webster Street
Pet costume contest with prizes
Pumpkin painting for children
This is a timed entry ticketed event. Tickets are free to $10 for VIP early entry. Masks are mandatory. Get your tickets here.
The Menagerie Oddities and Curiosities Market is sponsored by The West Alameda Business Association, the West Arts District, Feathered Outlaw, and the Fireside Lounge.
