    Where to find Friday fish fries in central Arkansas during Lent

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – As the celebrations of Mardi Gras give way to the more somber Lenten holy season, many Arkansas churchgoers will start to find food and fellowship with Friday fish fries.

    A number of area churches are holding fish fries during the Lenten season, which runs through March 30.

    Benton

    Our Lady of Fatima Church, 900 W Cross St., 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 and March 24.

    Fairfield Bay

    St. Francis of Assisi Church, 250 Woodlawn Dr., 5 p.m. Feb. 24, March 10 and 24.

    Hot Springs

    St. John the Baptist Church, 589 W Grand Ave., 4 – 8 p.m. Feb. 24.

    St. Mary of the Springs Church, 100 Central Ave., 5 – 6:30 p.m. Feb 24.

    Hot Springs Village

    Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 295 Balearic Rd., 5 p.m. Feb. 25, March 3 and 24.

    Little Rock

    Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N Rodney Parham Rd., 5 – 7 p.m. Feb. 24, March 10 and 31.

    Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church, 1003 N Tyler St., 6 p.m. March 3, 17 and 31.

    St. Edward Catholic Church, 801 Sherman St., 5 – 7 p.m. dine in or take out, Feb. 16.

    North Little Rock

    Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 7006 Jasna Gora Dr., 5 – 7:30 p.m. March 10 and 31.

    Pine Bluff
