BENTON, Ark. – The owner of Revival Restaurant and Beer Garden in Benton said she’s fed up with the disrespect the business has been receiving.

Four years ago, Heather Roe opened her restaurant in downtown Benton in hopes of it being a family favorite. Instead, she’s had to bite the cost of children damaging the furniture and causing disturbances.

“Kids ruining equipment, ruining furniture, getting on stage during live performances,” Roe explained.

She said she and other employees have asked that parents watch their kids, but not much has changed.

She’s replaced four loungers and other restaurant furniture. She says it’s all becoming too pricey and is hoping the new restriction will make a difference and save her some money.

“For the beer garden, where the expensive equipment and nicer furniture and stuff is, we would like that to be 16 and up,” Roe said.

She said she’s received plenty of support from people on social media and now she’s just hoping customers will respect the new rule.

“We want customers to understand that we’re here for a reason and it’s for people to have a place to hang out,” Roe said.

Good. You Don’t need the type of customer that would let a child run wild

Well to be in any bar you’re supposed to be 21. Some kids go to restaurants with parents who have disabilities and if you don’t want them in your restaurant you should not have it open. My two granddaughters are severely autistic and the youngest one is three and sometimes she can get loud but we never get complaints from other customers about it because they can tell she’s autistic. If she doesn’t want kids in her restaurant make it 21 and over or close it down.
