Riverfront Park hosts Back-to-School Family Fun Fest

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – It was nice weather for the 4th annual Back-to-School Family Fun Fest at Riverfront Park Saturday afternoon.

There were free haircuts, health and dental screenings, door prizes and entertainment, as well as information about programs available to help families have a successful year.

Minority Health Commission, Little Rock School District, and the Little Rock Department of Community programs joined together with other local sponsors to put on the event.

“We really want to make sure that the residents are connected with free resources. We have afterschool programs, many of whom are here today, and enrichment activities to connect those students with those tools to help them succeed,” Dr. Jacque Eaves, Little Rock Dept. of Community Programs stated.

Students with the Little Rock School District return to class Monday morning.
