UA Little Rock kick off block party

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – UA Little Rock kicked off the start of the fall semester with some fun activities Monday.

The school held a block party for new and returning students.  In fact, the university has planned an event for every day this week.

UA Little Rock said it’s a great way students can get to know each other and have some fun as they get ready for classes.

“I think it’s good for us because our dorm has been very quiet, I don’t see a lot of people socializing and it’s very important to have a community,” Freshman Caeli Johnson said.

Freshman Reagan Nelson said that the block party was really cool.

“It’s been great, I met my fellow classmates, I walked around the campus, just exploring.  We’re at this really cool block party,” Nelson said.

The block party is just one of several things happening this week.  Some of the other events include a student resource fair, scavenger hunt, and a kickball game.
