Pine Bluff PD: 1 dead, 2 injured in Sunday morning shooting at Regional Park

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Pine Bluff police are investigating a deadly shooting that left one person dead and two others injured early Sunday morning.

According to investigators, officers responded to reports of a shooting at Regional Park just after 1 a.m. and located a 25-year-old male lying in the roadway near the waterfront. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was then sent to the State Crime Lab to determine the official cause of death. His name has not yet been released.

Investigators said that officers were told by witnesses that a large crowd gathered in the park when gunshots were fired at the group. Two other people were found to have gunshot wounds and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
