    Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired gets $30,000 from solar eclipse glasses sales

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – In honor of August being Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month, the Arkansas Ophthalmological Society donated over $30,000 to the Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired on Tuesday.

    The donation came from fundraising efforts for the school by selling eclipse glasses in April. Officials said that 37 members representing 17 clinics from across the state participated in this project.

    This donation also comes at a time when the school is discussing plans for much-needed changes to improve school facilities.
