Francine will bring heavy rainfall and gusty winds to portions of Arkansas. The rain is already falling across southern Arkansas. Rain will overspread much of the area early Thursday morning, then concentrate across eastern and northeastern Arkansas later in the day. A wind advisory is in effect for eastern Arkansas as gusts could exceed 40 mph. Rainfall amounts will be heaviest across the east with at least 2-3″. Lesser amounts are expected as you go west. Breezy conditions continue Friday with showers mainly across northeastern areas of the state. At this time, the weekend looks mainly dry with highs in the low to mid 80s. -Todd Yakoubian
