North Little Rock authorities respond to school bus in ditch near Meadow Park Elementary School

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – North Little Rock authorities said they are responding after a school bus ran off the road Friday afternoon.

North Little Rock Police Department officials said a bus ran into a ditch at 717 East Bethany Road near Meadow Park Elementary School. Police said the bus is not overturned.

North Little Rock School District officials said the bus was leaving the elementary school when it ran into the ditch.

NLRPD officials said there were students on the bus but there were no injuries. Officials noted that EMTs are on the scene in case medical attention is needed.

District officials said a second bus has been sent to take the students home.

Authorities said they do not know the cause of the crash.
