    Man facing charges in wrong-way Interstate 30 crash involving Clark County deputy

    CLARK COUNTY, Ark. – A man is facing multiple charges tied to a wrong-way crash involving a Clark County Sheriff’s Office deputy on Thursday.

    Authorities identified the suspect as 59-year-old Satnam Singh of South Richmond Hill, New York.

    Officials said Singh is facing multiple charges, including second-degree battery, first-degree DWI, reckless driving, second-degree criminal mischief, driving the wrong way down a one-way highway, failure to obey a traffic control device, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and failure to maintain control of a vehicle.

    According to ASP officials, the deputy collided with a tractor-trailer going the wrong way on I-30 near Gurdon. Officials with the Arkansas Department of Transportation reported the crash just after 7:15 a.m.

    ASP officials said the deputy has non-life-threatening injuries.
