Arkansas State Fair pulls in huge crowd for opening day

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The 84 th Arkansas State Fair opened its gates on Friday and is already drawing a massive crowd.

According to Arkansas State Fair general manager Tiffany Wilkerson a crowd of 44,498 attended on opening day, which is the largest opening day attendance in the last 10 years.

“Great weather and pent-up excitement from fairgoers led to a great day at the Fair,” Wilkerson said.

Organizers said that they feel the fair’s youth curfew policy, paired with over 40 rides and 7 new food vendors is what has led to the growing numbers.
