Razorback fans gather to support team in Pine Bluff for tip-off tour

PINE BLUFF, ARK. – Arkansans gathered at the Pine Bluff convention center, many dressed in red showing Razorbacks pride.

The Razorbacks men’s basketball team used their tipoff tour to interact with those who adore them the most, like The Wallace family who’s been watching for years.

“I just think it’s wonderful everybody gets so excited for the games, and we have the best mascot ever,” Ron Wallace said.

Fans say they’ve been looking forward to this day and many have been supporting the Razorbacks through thick and thin.

Like Brayden McCray whose mother surprised him with tickets to the event.

“I’ve been following them since I was a little kid going to the Arkansas Razorbacks game and stuff,” McCray said.

It’s a full circle moment McCray and others, excitement coming from the crowd as the team hit the court.

“I’m excited to see what the team looks like this year a bunch of changes, new players and coach and I’m extremely excited to see what they got,” Ron Wallace said.

Fans were able to take pictures with their favorite players and meet head coach John Calipari.

“I never in a million years would have thought that we would have got coach Cal and the night that it happened it was kind of surreal,” John Williams, another fan said.

Fans they’ll be keeping up with the team as basketball season approaches while chanting “Woo Pigs Sooie.”
