LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Kashana Dunbar’ Williams has been left traumatized and now forced to relocate after her home was shot up on Oct. 11.

She said the shooting took place around 3:30am, and within 30 seconds of waking up she knew something was wrong.

“I haven’t prayed in a really long time but in that moment, I prayed really hard,” Dunbar’ Williams said.

It was a prayer said in a time of fear as the unimaginable happened.

She says as she ran out of her room panicking, over 15 bullets ripped through her home, she watched as her husband help get their kids to safety.

“I just felt like something intervened where everybody was kept safe, I mean all of our animals were safe all of us were safe,” Dunbar’ Williams said.

Bullet holes were left in her living room, kitchen, bathroom, children’s room and on her door. There was a shot near the top bunk of her son’s bed where he would typically sleep.

“But for some reason, I felt the need to tell him ‘Hey you need to sleep on the bottom bunk’, usually he’ll sleep on the right side, but he wanted to sleep on the left,” Dunbar’ Williams said.

Her intuition saved his life, she says the police arrived shortly after and police reports show that the motive and suspects are still unknown.

Kashana and her family are scared to go back into the home, but she gained a new outlook on life.

“Love your family be there for them, the little things really don’t matter,” Dunbar’ Williams said.

The family is now left to rebuild and find a new home. Kashana’s car was also totaled.

The family has started a GoFundMe to help with recovery.
