    Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas hosts community conversation on well-being of Black men, boys

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas held its first of four conversations with the community to discuss the well-being of Black boys and men as part of the Wellness in Black Life initiative.

    The initiative is led by scholars from the Brookings Institution, which is a nonprofit public policy organization based in Washington, D.C.

    The project hopes to develop community-driven definitions of well-being in Black men and Boys and ultimately help inform public policy and create lasting investments in the well-being of Black men and boys across the country. The conversations will take place in Little Rock, Washington D.C., and Baltimore.

    “For us, I think it’s a great opportunity for voices of Little Rock to be heard,” BBBSCA Executive Director Kristin Koenigsfest said.

    BBBSCA will host additional conversations on October 28, November 4 and November 14 th . They are open to the public. RSVP is required. You can RSVP or get more information by clicking here.
