Minneapolis is testing a new strategy to combat the opioid crisis: a Narcan vending machine. Mayor Jacob Frey and city staff unveiled the new machine in south Minneapolis at Fire Station 21 Wednesday. It’s designed like a regular vending machine, but it's stocked with a hundred boxes of naloxone, an opioid anti-overdose medication.

Man Arrested for 4th of July Murder in Grand Forks
A man has been arrested and charged with murder after a 4th of July shooting in Grand Forks. Police say 26-year-old Nicholas Narveson shot and killed an adult victim at Sledster’s Food and Brew on 4th Street around 7:00 p.m. The Grand Forks Police Department were called to the scene where they found the victim unresponsive on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. First responders tried to resuscitate the person, but were unable. Narveson has been booked in the Grand Forks County Correctional Center on a charge of murder.
Man found dead in Red River in Fargo
FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Fargo Police say a man was found dead in the Red River in north Fargo Thursday night. Authorities from Fargo and Moorhead responded to the scene near the 1400 block of Elm St. N. around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday July 4 after they say a passer-by called 911 to report a person in the water.
