I have used greatschools.org for all my ratings and my own experience while living in this area.

There are a few good school districts in Dallas and some of its suburbs. I want to discuss some of them in my article. I faced a lot of issues when I moved to Dallas and had to search and discuss things with the other people, I could find who knew about it. This is just my opinion based on the knowledge I have gained over the years as well as the rankings site like greatschools.org

    Coppell

One of the best suburbs to live in and get your kids to school. The school district is part of Coppell ISD. The elementary schools mostly have ratings around 10 out of 10 (greatschools.org) from some of the school rating sites. Middle schools are also very good being in the 8 or 9 range (greatschools.org). High schools are just around 7 and 8 (greatschools.org). I believe the rating doesn’t justify the quality of education they impart. In my opinion, they should be much high toward the 10 brackets. Houses are a little on the upper side so if you want to rent or buy you would have to spend a little extra. The area is well-connected and you will reach the major highways within 10 minutes.

    South Lake

This is a little expensive suburb from a housing point of view. All the houses are generally on the higher side which makes them unaffordable to most middle-income families. It is part of the Carrol ISD. All the public schools in elementary as well as middle are either 9 or 10 (greatschools.org). It has two high schools with Carrol high school being the best with 10 ratings (greatschools.org).

    Flower mound

The district is part of Lewisville ISD. It has a mix of both lower and higher-ranked elementary and middle schools. This is another good area to settle down. Houses are cheaper than Coppell. It has a lot of elementary schools in the 8-10 range (greatschools.org), though some lower-ranked schools are also there. So, prefer to stay around an area that has the higher ranked school in the vicinity. The same is the case with middle schools, it has a decent number of schools with ranges between 8-10 (greatschools.org). Avoid areas with a lower range. There are a bunch of High schools with flower mound high school being on top with a rating of around 8.

    Plano

This is part of the Plano ISD. Plano has many elementary schools, there are a few in the range of 8-10 (greatschools.org). Many, though in the lower end of the range. The houses are relatively cheaper as it is further from the city center. It also has many middle schools, many in the lower ranges. Few schools are good in the upper ranges. High schools also are in a 50/50 portion (greatschools.org) where we have good as well as not-so-good in that range.

    Frisco

One of the newer communities is being developed and a lot of new house options. Most of the newer population is shifting to this area. This is part of the Frisco ISD. This district also has many elementary and middle schools, most of them are good though there are a few which are on the lower side. It has a higher number of better-ranked high schools in its mix. (greatschools.org)

    Conclusion

To sum it up if you want to stay in the Dallas suburbs Coppell and south lake are the best areas to live. Coppell is more affordable housing-wise while South Lake is more expensive but better in the public school rankings. So, if you have money stay in Southlake and send your kids to Carrol ISD as that is the best. Frisco and Plano's areas are more affordable. You will find cheaper housing but will have to check the area as each area has its own set of schools with some of their schools being on the lower spectrum.

Note – I have used greatschools.org as the source for my rankings and some of my personal experience living in this area.
