For the past few months, KJAS News has faced a constant battle with Facebook deleting links to news stories. Their reasoning is that it “violates community standards”. This includes important updates about tropical storms, hurricanes, and other weather related topics along with important news and information. Facebook also deletes positive stories about black people.
Man who drove bus to Longview gas station found dead after standoff
LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Longview police found a man dead inside a bus following a barricade situation Thursday morning. According to officials, the man barricaded inside the bus and was armed and refused to come out. Police arrived around 3:20 a.m. to address a bus parked at a CEFCO gas station on the 300 block of S. Eastman Road. The man in the barricaded bus eventually was found to have killed himself, police say.

MINEOLA, Texas (KLTV) - What should you do if placed in a situation with a fake police officer?. The question has come to mind after Mineola police posted on Facebook that they received word of a police impersonator possibly using a Crown Victoria. New hours of operation for Shreve Memorial Library branches
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—Changes in visiting times are causing the Shreve Memorial Library system to alter the hours of operation for its full-time library branches. “In order to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars, we are reducing the number of library branches open on Sundays. While many of our libraries will be closed on Sundays, we will still have some branches open so that those who need to use library services on Sundays are able to do so,” stated John Tuggle, Shreve Memorial Library Executive Director.
