    UPDATE: Escaped inmate apprehended

    Update:
    Suspect has been captured.

    Original Story:
    A murder suspect awaiting trial has escaped from the Iberia Parish Jail, according to Sheriff Tommy Romero.

    The inmate, Kristian Broussard, was being held for 2nd-degree murder at the parish jail.

    Officials ask you to contact the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office at 337-369-3711 with any information.
