Election judge absences may delay courthouse work
GILLETTE, Wyo. — As the 2024 primary election gets underway today, Campbell County officials are asking those visiting the courthouse today for their patience. According to a Facebook post, the county had sufficient numbers of election judges signed up prior to the election, but unforeseen circumstances have forced several to be absent on Election Day. To help the election flow as smoothly as possible, the county has shuffled staff from the Campbell County Clerks office to step in and help at the polls.
Casper hosts youth bull riding regional finals
CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - On Friday, the evening kicked off at 7 p.m. in true cowboy fashion with an introduction of the riders, the national anthem and a prayer. There was a total of 37 riders within the six age groups. The walk/trot with ages five and under to senior bulls ages 16-18.
Cheyenne Frontier Days Names New Committee Chairs
The Cheyenne Frontier Days General Committee has named two new committee chairs, according to a CFD news release. Mike ''Wilkie" Wilkinson has been named the new Contract Acts Chairman, replacing Scott Lewis in that role. Wilkinson, who is a Risk and Safety Officer for the City of Cheyenne, has been a volunteer for the Contract Acts Commitee for 12 years and a committee lead for three years. Wilkinson was named CFD Volunteer of the year in 2018. He was inducted into the HEELS in 2022, according to the release.

Airport to begin using temporary terminal this Friday
Starting this Friday, those using the Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport will use a new temporary terminal facility. According to information released by the local airport, construction, airport, and tenant personnel will begin moving the current terminal operations to a newly constructed temporary facility tomorrow, with the majority of the move occurring this Thursday after all airline departures. The temporary terminal will be in use until the completion of the Commercial Terminal Modernization Project, which is anticipated to occur next summer.
