BROOKINGS, S.D. (KCAU) – #4 Vermillion stayed in stride with #1 Sisseton from start to finish in the Class A semifinals of the SDHSAA Girls Basketball State Tournament, and it was eight-grader Taylor Reuvers who came ready with the dagger, draining a three-pointer with under 50 seconds left putting the Tanagers in front and propelling them to the 50-47 upset over the Redmen.

Vermillion advances to its first State title game since the 2006-07 season. The Tanagers will face #6 Tea Area for the Class A crown on Saturday night at 7:45pm inside the Dacotah Bank Center.
