SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — On Tuesday night, two northeast Nebraska school districts held school bond elections.

The bond was in an amount not to exceed $12.5 million to address “urgent facility and program needs.” Those include replacing the existing roof and renovating current classrooms at the elementary school, along with building two locker rooms at the high school and entrance security for both buildings.

The other school bond that was voted on tonight was for Bancroft-Rosalie Public Schools, which did pass. 253 people said yes, while 209 individuals said no.

The bond was in an amount not to exceed $17.95 million. The money will be used for several things, including building new classrooms, along with a new gym, stage, music, locker rooms, security upgrades and modernized learning spaces.
