    Wayne State walks off SMSU in 5-4 extra-inning win

    WAYNE, Neb. (KCAU) – Wayne State scored four unanswered runs, including the game-winning run in extra innings, to defeat Southwest Minnesota State 5-4 in eight innings.

    Chase Douglas scored Carter Thomas on a double in the bottom of the eighth to clinch the victory for the NSIC-leading Wildcats in Game 1 of the doubleheader. WSC fell to the Mustangs 11-1 in Game 2.

    Up next, Wayne State will visit Concordia-St. Paul for a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon starting at 1:30 p.m.
