    Headlining bands announced for Yankton’s Riverboat Days

    YANKTON, S.D. (KCAU)– The Riverboat Days Committee announced the bands headlining the the Friday and Saturday night concerts.

    The 2024 Riverboat Days and Summer Arts Festival will be held Aug. 16 through Aug. 18 at Riverside Park in Yankton.

    On that Aug. 16, country singer-songwriter Randy Houser will headline the night’s concert. Houser has 1 billion streams and more than half a dozen hits. His song “Like a Cowboy” was nominated for CMA Song of the Year after its release in 2014. His most recent album “Note to Self” is his sixth studio album and came out in 2022.

    On Saturday, the headliner will be Lit, with special guest Diamante. Lit is a SoCal power punk band with six studio albums. Their biggest hit is the 1999 hit “My Own Worst Enemy” from their second album, winning a Billboard Music Award for Modern Rock Song of the Year at the time and becoming a popular karaoke song. The band’s most recent album “Tastes Like Gold” came out in 2022.

    Diamonte is a Boston-raised and Los Angeles-based Mexican-Italian-American singer. She has been performing at local gigs on the Sunset Strip since her teenage years. In recent years, she has been touring with well-known bands like Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, and The Pretty Reckless.

    This year’s Riverboat Days will be coinciding with the 100th anniversary of Yankton’s Meridian Bridge. As such, this year’s theme is “A Journey Through History: The Magnificent Meridian.”
