Bob’s Bar hosts America’s Best Restaurants

MARTINSBURG, Neb. (KCAU) – On Friday afternoon, Bob’s Bar & Grill hosted America’s Best Restaurants, showing the nation the three things that make Bob’s Bar so special.

“A lot of food, good price, always cold beer,” Gabe Reinart, the next owner of Bob’s Bar, said.

Bob’s Bar & Grill in Martinsburg, Nebraska is known for its big portions and friendly service, and soon it will be recognized as one of America’s best restaurants.

“It is an honor because all the hard work that you do put into trying to make customers happy, and full, and to be recognized for your hard work, it’s quite an honor,” current owner Bobbi Keil said.

Nominated by one of their customers, Bob’s Bar feels the love from the community.

“It’s kind of a cool deal because since Martinsburg is such a small little town, it’s kind of cool that people are actually kind of coming together to support a small business like the bar,” Reinert said.

The upcoming feature will highlight the bar’s most popular dishes, including the big burger and their two-pound sides.

“A lot of fun to do this type of stuff since it’s not an everyday type of deal with us,” Reinert said. “It was quite a bit of fun to kind of have the cameras on, showing how the whole process is of cooking everything.”

With the passing of previous owner Bob Lamprecht last summer, this family business is proud to show the nation what makes this bar special.

“It’s the only restaurant in our village, our little town of Martinsburg,” Keil said. “It’s kind of a little hub for all the farmers. My dad is the one who started the big burgers, big portions, and so to try and keep that same family tradition is what we’re shooting for.”

Representatives from America’s Best Restaurants say the episode will be posted on their social media channels in 8-10 weeks.
