CLIVE, Iowa (KCAU) — A northwest Iowa woman has won $100,000 in a scratch game.

According to the Iowa Lottery, Paula Miller of Odebolt won the money after going to pick up pizzas.

“I went to Casey’s in Ida Grove, picked up a couple pizzas and decided to play some scratch tickets,” Miller said.

She also bought the Iowa Lottery’s “$100,000 Mega Crossword” scratch game and took it home with her.

“I started scratching and the more letters I got, the more words I got, I couldn’t believe, it was a $100,000 winner! I had to have my roommate check it over,” Miller said. “”Then we both went, ‘woo hoo!'”

She claimed her prize Thursday at the lottery’s regional office in Storm Lake.

Miller, who is 60 years old and retired, said she plans to buy a TV, new clothes and pay off some bills.
