ORANGE CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Unity Christian is coming off a 2-6 season, but look to put that mark behind them as they embark on its 2024 journey. The Knights finished under .500 for the second consecutive season, but bring back plenty of experience as they look to improve.

Two-way talent Dylan Bosma notched a Class 2A-District 1 leading 1,856 yards to go along with 14 touchdowns. Wide receiver Braeden Bosma reeled in 790 yards and 7 touchdowns, both marks led the district.

The key for UC will be offense. They averaged almost 40 points per game in wins, but finished 0-6 in games they scored 20 or fewer points. Continuing to work on that side of the ball, the Knights know it will take a full team effort.

“For us, it all started in the weight room at 6:30 in the morning. We’ve got a lot of young guys that are going to be a huge contributor to the team this year. We’ve got to just take it one day at a time and can’t look too far ahead.” Braeden Bosma said.

The Knights begin its 2024 season with a clash against fellow Orange City school MOC-Floyd Valley on Friday, August 30th. Unity Christian claimed victory against the Dutchmen last season with a 29-25 victory.
