86-year-old South Dakota inmate dies, 10th this year

SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO)– An inmate died Sunday night at a local hospital, according to the South Dakota Department of Corrections.

In a news release, the DOC said 86-year-old Dallas Krausch died Sunday. He was serving his sentence at Mike Durfee State Prison for for sexual exploitation of a child and loitering within a community safety zone.

This is the 10th state inmate to die this year.

No cause of death was provided by the DOC.
