NORTH SIOUX CITY, South Dakota (KCAU)– A local non-profit hit the road this afternoon, on a quest to raise money for local organizations.

For the past 33 years, the Independent Riders For Children And Charities has held their annual “Toy Run”, where a group of bikers ride from North Sioux City making pit stops in several different towns.

This year the pack of cyclists’ destination was Brunsville, Iowa, where they held a raffle drawing. All funds raised go towards five local nonprofits dedicated to helping siouxland children. The IRCC’s president says it’s a cause he holds close to his heart.

“We’re very passionate about taking care of children, so this is why we started this and this is why we want to keep this organization going. We collect whatever we can on this, and then we disperse it out to these local organizations,” said Randy Luschen, the president of Independent Riders for Children and Charities.

Luschen will step down from his presidential position after this year’s “Toy Run” and Blaine Foreman will pick up the torch. So far IRCC has raised $175,000 for children in need.
