DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) — More Disaster Recovery Centers in Siouxland will soon be closing their doors permanently.

According to a release from FEMA, four more Disaster Recovery Centers will be closing.

On August 22, we reported that the centers in Cherokee and Emmet counties would be closing permanently on August 28 and that the center in O’Brien County would be closing permanently on August 30. Now, three more centers are joining the center in O’Brien County by closing on August 30.

The O’Brien County center in Sheldon at the City of Sheldon Community Services Center will close on that date alongside the Buena Vista County center in Sioux Rapids at the Sioux Rapids Municipal Pool, the Palo Alto County center at Iowa Lakes Community in Emmetsburg, and the Pottawattamie County center at the Veterans Affairs Building in Council Bluffs.
