    Sioux Center police emphasize importance of construction barriers after truck gets stuck

    SIOUX CENTER, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux Center Police Department is reminding residents to follow construction signage.

    In a Facebook post from Friday morning, the Sioux Center Police Department emphasized the importance of not ignoring construction barriers.

    The police department posted photos of them retrieving a red Dodge truck after the driver tried to go around barricades and got stuck on Highway 75.

    The police department said that the truck had gotten stuck on a water main valve which could have caused major damage and major delays to the Highway 75 project.

    Anyone seen ignoring the construction barricades will be cited, the police department said. You will also be responsible for any costs if damages occur.
