SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Aug. 30 was the final day for 2024’s Food Truck Fridays, an annual tradition during the summertime where residents can go outside and have a nice meal.

The event started back in 2016 and has kept the same tradition since then by providing delicious food and a great atmosphere. Since Friday was the final day for 2024, the event coordinators for Sioux City decided to go above and beyond for this finale by providing residents with fun activities and live music.

“It feels awesome,” event coordinator Elizabeth Stewart said. “We had another successful season, and this has gone from a grassroots event to a local summer tradition. We are just excited to be here and we are excited we made it through another summer.”

Food Truck Fridays will begin next summer on the first Friday of June and will continue weekly until the last Friday of August.
