    FEMA reduces hours for 2 Disaster Recovery Centers

    DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) — FEMA announced that two Disaster Recovery Centers in northwest Iowa will be reducing their hours.

    The hours for both centeres will now be from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. starting on Sept. 30, Monday through Saturday.

    Dakota County among counties to get federal funding for flood, storm recovery

    The two centers are the City Park Shelter House in Rock Valley and the city council chambers at the Spencer City Hall.

    Iowans have until Oct. 22 to apply for FEMA assistance. There are a few ways to do that, including going online to disasterassistance.gov .
