    Sac County holding town hall meetings on new jail bond

    SAC COUNTY, Iowa (KCAU) — An informational town hall meeting was held in Sac County Thursday night in regards to a bond to build a new jail .

    The meeting took place at 7 p.m. at 107 North Main Street in Early, Iowa. There are six more meetings on the bond:

    • Sept. 30 – Odebolt Library
    • Oct. 1 – Lake View City Hall
    • Oct. 8 – Lytton fire station
    • Oct. 9 – Wall Lake community building,
    • Oct. 10 – Schaller fire station
    • Oct. 14 – Auburn community building

    All six will be held at 7 p.m.

    The Sac County Sheriff’s Office is asking voters to say yes on Nov. 5 to a $10.95 million bond to construct a new jail, along with building a new addition to the current law enforcement center which will connect to the jail.
