Briar Cliff and Mount Marty football introduce “Marty Cliff Chalice” to Catholic Cup series

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) – Briar Cliff football is just a few days away from its Homecoming game on Saturday against the Mount Marty Lancers, but both teams will be playing for more than a win.

Both teams will be competing for the Marty Cliff Chalice in the Catholic Cup game, a collaboration between the two institutions. The trophy, named by both athletic directors, includes both silver and gold, representing the colors of each school.

The Lancers have won the last two meetings, scoring 40 or more points in both victories.

Briar Cliff and Mount Marty will play in Sioux City on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
