    Northwestern ready to regroup after 29-17 loss to Concordia

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) Northwestern came into Saturday’s Homecoming game with Concordia undefeated and ranked #2 in the country.

    The Red Raiders were also riding a 23-game GPAC winning streak and a 20-game home winning streak.

    Northwestern started strong, scoring on their first drive of the game to go up 7-0. Concordia would score right before the end of the first half to tie the game at 7.

    In the third quarter, the Bulldogs would score 10 unanswered points to take a 17-7 lead.

    In the fourth quarter, Northwestern would mount a comeback with a 67 yard touchdown pass from Colby Duncan to Austin Gerard. Red Raider kicker Eli Stader would also contribute with a program best 55-yard field goal to cut the Bulldog lead to 23-17.

    The Red Raiders had a chance late to take the lead, but quarterback Colby Duncan threw an interception that Concordia converted into a touchdown and sealed a 29-17 Bulldog win.

    Northwestern quarterbacks threw 4 interceptions that Concordia converted into three touchdowns.
