    Sioux, Clay County Disaster Recovery Centers to close down

    DES MOINES, Iowa (KCAU) — Two locations in Siouxland where flood victims can get assistance from FEMA will close permanently this weekend.

    According to a release, the Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) in both Sioux County and Clay County are closing on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 5:30 p.m. The centers were opened by FEMA following June’s devastating flooding .

    Woodbury County hosting 2 resource centers for flood victims

    Until Saturday, both centers will remain open every day from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Clay County’s DRC is located at Spencer City Hall, while Sioux County’s can be found at the City Park Shelter House in Rock Valley.

    Iowans in need of disaster assistance following June’s flooding have until Tuesday, Oct. 22 to apply. You can do so online by clicking here .
