SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Some rural residents of Woodbury County will have another way to get vaccinated ahead of the flu season.

Siouxland District Health Department (SDHD) announced Tuesday that it will host two flu vaccination clinics in Woodbury County in the next week. Both will be held in two of the county’s more rural communities.

The first clinic will take place at Masonic Hall in Moville on Friday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to noon. The second will be held in Correctionville’s Community Center on Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“We encourage everyone to take advantage of these clinics,” SDHD nurse Lori Oetken said in a statement. “Getting vaccinated is one of the most effective ways to prevent the flu and keep our communities safe and healthy.”

Both clinics are open to adults and seniors and don’t require appointments. The vaccinations cost $25 and can be billed to Medicare.
