Dakota Valley’s Collette wins Class A State Championship, Panthers earn Class A team title

HARTFORD, S.D. (KCAU) – The Dakota Valley Panthers claimed the SDHSAA Class A State Championship at Central Valley Golf Course in Hartford, finishing with a team score of +39.

Vermillion finished in second with a team score of +53.

DV’s Logan Collette won the Class A individual title by one stroke, edging out Canton’s Carson Steffensen with a score of +5 after two days (75, 74). Teammate Matt DeBeer finished with a score of +9, good for fifth place.

Carter Langle was Elk Point-Jefferson’s top scorer at +10 (sixth place) while Trey Hansen and Cooper Girard both shot eleven over-par (T-seventh place)
