SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Lennox Foundation and Kalins Indoor Comfort showed their love to flood victims Thursday by donating heating and cooling equipment.

Since 2009, The Lennox Foundation has contributed in 43 states by providing homeowners with items they simply can’t go without. And with the June floods, Kalins Indoor Comfort teamed up with the foundation for the third year to donate and install free heat pumps and air handlers to families who may or may not be able to afford them.

“It’s always heartwarming to provide a new system for folks that otherwise very likely couldn’t afford to have it,” Kalins Indoor Comfort president Bruce Kalin said. “We want to keep them warm in the winter and cool in the summer.”

One family’s neighbor, who nominated them for new HVAC equipment, believes this is a great way to help not just people you know but any Siouxland residents in need of assistance.

“If you know somebody, or even if it’s a neighbor that you know is kind of struggling or have problems with their AC this year, keep them in mind so that next year you can nominate them and get them the things that they need,” neighbor Kourtney Zimmerman said.
