Brown, along with Clyde Clayton, are accused of shooting Brown’s boyfriend Brian Corey, 52, to death in the home they all shared in the town of Carney. Brown and Clayton allegedly burned Corey’s body afterward, along with the recliner he was sitting in and ceramic tile covered in blood.

Corey was from Sioux City, Iowa, and lived in Carney, Oklahoma. He was also a father of five.

“He always came back to family. I mean, he called me almost every day and we talked to you and he was good at heart,” Brian’s father Nick Corey said . “He just felt like he wanted to live in the great state of Oklahoma.”

Nick Corey said they stopped hearing from his son in June.

“We never heard from him again, which is very unusual because he called his brothers and sisters and kids and. Me and my wife probably every day. You know, he was a family person,” Nick said.

In July, Brown reportedly led investigators to the burn site , where they discovered burned bone, ceramic tile, and a metal knee implant similar to Corey’s.
