Meet Chefs Lolo Gonzalez and Victor Reyes of Yoshi’s , Oakland. Their current menu boasts an array of delightful dishes and tantalizing sushi favorites.

Yoshi’s is just one of the many participating restaurants offering Oakland Style Week food and cocktail specials.

This longtime Oakland hotspot brings the fusion of food and music to one and all at their Jack London Square spot. Legends have performed there: Herbie Hancock, Joshua Reman, Mavis Staples and many more.

Here are two of the Oakland Style Week food specials at Yoshi’s.

The Oaklander Dragon

Lightly battered deep fried shrimp tempura with fresh avocado, topped with unagi; homemade BBQ unagi sauce

Jack’s Steak, Cakes & Fries

Grilled angus beef ribeye topped with crab cakes, garlic russet and sweet potato fries; miso-bearnaise sauce

If you really love cocktails, join me on October 9th, as emcee and eleven of Oakland’s top mixologists from The Town’s hottest restaurants and bars as they compete to create the official 2024 Oakland Style cocktail to benefit Community Kitchens!

Register for the voting app, taste the eleven cocktails, and vote for your favorite. An official panel of judges will also rate cocktails to determine the winner of the $5,000 grand prize.

Mixology & Music will take place at the Rotunda Building 300 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza.
