Call for artists for the new Buck O'Neil Bridge

In June the final segment of the Buck O’Neil Bridge

faced demolition . Now, the city is focused on its replacement. As a part of that, they’re searching for artists.

Funded by the Art in the Loop project, the call for artists

asks for a semi-permament mural to be created at the site of the new Buck O’Neil Bridge.

The mural should pay homage to:

History of the Riverfront area and its historic bridges
Connections to the community
Present day multicultural community
The bridge’s namesake, Buck O’Neil

Selected artists will receive funds to bridge their vision from paper to reality. Applications close Thursday, Aug. 22.
