Sam’s Club new shipping shake-up causes a stir

DALLAS (KDAF) — Starting Aug. 19, wholesale giant Sam’s Club is shaking things up, causing a stir among members. From now on, you’ll need to hit a minimum purchase of $50 to score free shipping. Otherwise, get ready to shell out a flat $8 shipping fee.

And that’s not all—there are whispers of category exclusions where variable shipping fees might sneak in.

Sam’s Club says this change will make it “easier for you to get the products you want, the way and at the time you want.” However, some shoppers aren’t thrilled. Rumor has it, customers are eyeing Costco as an alternative.

So, will this shipping shake-up be a deal-breaker or just a bump in the road? Stay tuned.
