Verified or Denied: Air fryer cottage cheese toast

KDAF (Dallas)— Air fryer cottage cheese toast has been making the rounds on social media. The pictures look gorgeous, but how does it taste?

We tried it out and put it to the “verified or denied” test!

Social media influencers have been posting various versions of the recipe, which generally instruct you to;

• Top a piece or two of toast with ½ cup cottage cheese.
• Add any berries you can have around (we used blueberries)
• Drizzle with honey
• Pop in the air fryer for five minutes

There wasn’t a mention of temperature, so we let is go for five minutes at 370 degrees, which was the default setting on the air fryer we used.

Sadly, as gorgeous as this toast is, this one is DENIED! The toast got soggy and the cottage cheese fell all over the place when you tried to actually eat it.

We tried it again, with less cottage cheese and at 400 degrees for ten minutes and that improved the palatability significantly!
