DALLAS (KDAF) — A new study has revealed that Texas is no longer the most sought-after destination for relocation.

Based on factors like education, health and affordability, Texas placed as the third worst state to move to. The Lone Star State had the lowest score in the nation for education and health — high school graduation rate is 85.4%, which is the second lowest in the nation, and the share of population with insurance is 83.4%, which is the lowest in the US. For affordability, Texas had the 11th lowest score nationally, with median annual property taxes at 1.68%.

New Mexico and California took the second and first worst places to move to, respectively. Utah took the top spot for best places to move to, followed by New Hampshire, Idaho, Minnesota and Massachusetts to round out the top five. Utah finished first in affordability, third in economy and third in quality of life.
