Pickle lovers dream store in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, TX (KDAF) – Calling all pickle lovers! There’s a place in Fort Worth where the pickle-obsessed can find a wide variety of pickle-related items.

Best Maid Pickle Emporium is a retail store for Best Maid Pickles and has everything from actual pickles to pickle-flavored items like fudge, crackers, and even crickets! The Emporium hosts fun events throughout the year where there’s free pickle tasting, free beer or liquor tastings or giveaways, and other fun surprises.

The Emporium is turning four years old this October, but the Best Maid Pickles have been around for nearly 100 years. Founded in Fort Worth in 1926, they grow and harvest 30 to 35 million pounds of cucumbers each summer. They control every step of the process, from picking and planting seeds all the way to the packing of the jars. They also own Del-Dixi. They bought the brand in the 1960’s and converted them to the Best Maid recipes, but due to the strong brand recognition in South Texas they kept the branding for Del-Dixi.
