    Celebrate Mexican Independence Day at this North Texas restaurant

    DALLAS (KDAF) — Get ready for a fiesta! José , the Dallas neighborhood destination for seasonal and satisfying Mexican-inspired cuisine, is celebrating Mexican Independence Day on September 14 and 16. This two-day cultural extravaganza is all about honoring Mexico’s rich heritage and history.

    The festivities kick off early on Saturday, September 14, with a vibrant mercado of local vendors and food and drink specials. From 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., enjoy live beats from DJ Jejune while exploring treats from small businesses set up right outside the restaurant.

    Then, on Monday, September 16, José is bringing an all-day happy hour and a menu that highlights flavors from Guadalajara and Oaxaca. Must-try dishes include the Fundido Burger, Pork Riblets al Pastor, and the iconic Chiles en Nogada—a colorful dish that proudly showcases the green, white, and red of the Mexican flag.

    Additionally, Casa Noble Tequila will sponsor the night with drink specials. You can sip on favorites like The Squozen, La Malinche, and The Skinny Palomarita for just $8 all day long.     This is AMERICA. Why would anyone celebrate Mexican independence? Apparently the Mexicans living here don’t think Mexico is so great.
