DALLAS (KDAF) — It’s official, Dallas is cooler than Houston, according to a new report .

Based on factors like culture, dining, social engagement, tech, and environmental sustainability, the report analyzed the US and Canada’s coolest cities to determine their ranking.

Dallas ranks 14th overall, with a Coolness Index score of 30.19. This ranking reflects Dallas’ diverse cultural landscape, nightlife, and technology-driven growth.

For dining and nightlife, Dallas shines with a score of 1.8, showcasing its world-class food scene, from deep-dish pizza to Michelin-starred restaurants. In culture and arts, Dallas stands out with a 4.3 score for its vibrant arts community, architecture, and renowned museums. And in tech and connectivity, with a score of 5.8, Dallas is recognized for its growing tech industry and robust infrastructure.

Houston ranked 16th overall, while Austin placed 17th.
