Vintage clothing store Thrifted Threads opening in Deep Ellum

DALLAS (KDAF) — Houston-based Vintage clothing reseller, Thrifted Threads , will open its third location in Deep Ellum on November 2, located at 2646 Main St., Suite 620.

Thrifted Threads’ expansion to Deep Ellum marks a significant milestone for owner Laith Awad, who launched his reselling company online in Houston back in 2017. Thrifted Threads opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Houston in 2022, followed by a second store in College Station in 2023. The new Deep Ellum location has been thoughtfully designed to blend effortlessly with the vibrant, eclectic energy of the neighborhood.

“Over the past six months, I’ve carefully handpicked selections for the Dallas store’s opening. I want our shoppers to come in for the first time and be inundated with high-quality pieces that will make the perfect addition to a collection or serve as the start of a new one,” stated Laith Awad, CEO and founder of Thrifted Threads. He added, “More broadly, I wanted to take my time with the build out and design aesthetic in order to deliver an experience that exceeds the community’s expectations with the hope of creating a destination that lovers of vintage fashion will want to visit multiple times over.”

That experience will come to fruition across 2,500 square feet of space designed with a rugged, urban motif at its core. Located within a historic Deep Ellum building, Thrifted Threads includes eye-catching vintage memorabilia, a motorcycle display, free-to-play arcade games and complimentary ice cream. When it opens to the public, patrons will find a vast collection of clothing from multiple decades – dating back to the ’70s all the way through the 2000s – that is thoughtfully arranged by color for easy browsing.

On Thrifted Threads’ opening day on November 2, shoppers can enjoy live music, special treats and the first 100 customers will be entered into a giveaway for a chance to win a $200 Thrifted Threads gift card.
